Once you have identified a program you are interested in, please review the enrollment forms attached in the respective section to learn how to enroll. Youth Development Navigation

Age 12-24 | SW & SE Seattle and South King County

[Spanish-speaking case manager available]

College & Career Prep

College and Career Prep sessions are an opportunity for young adults and youth to take the first step toward their future. With this program, students can feel empowered to take control of their future and achieve their goals.

  • The program provides guidance and resources to help high school seniors in writing their personal statement essays and planning their next move after high school.

  •  Continuous college preparation workshops throughout the month to provide valuable information on various topics such as FAFSA, learning about scholarships and loans, and secondary education overviews.

  • Continuous career preparation workshops throughout the month to provide information focused on resume writing, application support, and interview prep.

  • Various college and career field trips.

Summer Youth Employment Program

Applications open  May 1, 2024!

Unlock your potential this summer with SafeFutures' 6-week program. Join a select group of 15 interns and explore exciting career paths, gain new skills, and learn from inspiring guest speakers and mentors. With unique field trips and a $1000 stipend upon completion, this program is your chance to discover your passions, challenge yourself, and build a brighter future. Applications will be released in May 2024! Check back for more details on how to apply!

"Build Me Up" Series 

Our new “Build Me Up!” series is our new session that will focus on developing core competency skills.  These workshops will vary in topics that are relevant to youth interests and pressing needs that staff feel are needed in the community and or to support families.  Previous examples have been: police interaction sessions in partnerships with the Seattle Police Department, Self-Care sessions where youth navigate how to take care of their mental health and develop key habits that will help them to self-regulate stressful situations, and more!
